Haig School caters for children aged 3 - 11 and has around 550 children including up to 120 part-time children in our pre-school (nursery) settings.

We serve the military community in Gutersloh. The care and welfare of children is very important to us and we work in partnership with parents to keep them informed and involved in the life of the school.

Transport is available for all children from their quarters to the school, which is situated on Mansergh Barracks, home to 26 Regiment Royal Artillery.

The children are taught in single year group classes with class sizes currently averaging between 20 and 26. Classrooms and facilities are generally well resourced. All classes have timetabled access to two large computer suites as well as computers in classrooms. The school has modern technology to aid teaching and learning including wire-less access to the Internet and Interactive Whiteboards or plasma screens in all classrooms.

The school has extensive hard play areas and good play facilities for our younger children.  Sports and games take place on a large  playing field nearby.

The school  has many specialist rooms designated for Music, Drama and Technology,  as well as a large hall and a dining room providing excellent hot meals for the children.

There are two separate Nursery settings for children aged 3-4. The largest is part of the main school. The other one is on the Comenius Quartering area. Both settings provide a high quality start to schooling for the children and provide an excellent introduction into school. Afternoon day-care is available on Mansergh.

Parents wishing to know more about our school or wishing to enrol a child should contact the school on 0049 5241 843840. You can e-mail us on sce.haig@sceschools.com. All new parents have a chance to tour the school and you will be provided with all the information you need when you visit.

All the staff working in schools promote a positive and welcoming ethos, with children encouraged to serve our community and be proud of their achievements.
